Brothers of Amal Perera and Ryan Van Rooyen released following questioning

The brother of actor Ryan Van Rooyen who was taken into custody at his residence in Dehiwela yesterday (Feb 08) has been released following a questioning.

He was arrested after an electronic scale and a suspicious bag were discovered in his residence when Special Task Force and Police Narcotics Bureau personnel had inspected his house following his brother's arrest in Dubai.

Meanwhile a senior police official said that the brother of singer Amal Perera who was also taken into custody has been released after recording a statement.

The suspect was taken into custody since two empty cocaine container's were discovered at the residence of his brother who was also arrested in Dubai along with drug kingpin 'Makandure Madush'.
