The United National Party (UNP) has decided to conduct its May Day rally at the Colombo Town Hall, UNP General Secretary MP Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said.
This decision was taken following yesterday's working committee meeting that had taken place under the auspicies of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday (Mar 21). The meeting had taken place at the Committee Room at the parliamentary complex.
MP Kariywasam said that the UNP will organise this year's May Day rally under the United National Front (UNF) banner by forming a coalition with other parties.
Four routes will be made accessible for party supporters in the Northern and Eastern Provinces to attend the rally in Colombo, he noted.
