A final year female student attached to the Medical Faculty of the University of Jaffna was stabbed to death today afternoon near Pannai beach area, Jaffna. The victim was identified as 26 year old Roshani Kanchana from Beruwela.
An Army soldier from Paranthan Army camp was taken into custody by police after locals informed authorities. Initial police investigations revealed that the incident occurred due to an argument broke between them over the love affair. Police are conducting further investigations over the incident.
