A university student has been remanded until August 6 by the Balangoda Magistrate's court for capturing a video of the Sabaragamuwa university yesterday (Jul 31).
Two persons including a Sabaragamuwa university student and an outsider have been apprehended by security personnel for capturing a video of the university, and had been handed over to the police for legal action.
However, one individual had been released on a surety bail of Rs 50,000 while the other suspect was ordered to be remanded during today's hearing till August 6. The accused have been identified as residents of Ampara.
Samanalawewa police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
