Sun directly overhead SL till September 7

On the apparent southward relative motion of the sun, it is going to be directly over the latitudes of Sri Lanka during August 28 to September 7, the Met Department stated.

Accordingly, the nearest towns of Sri Lanka over which the sun is overhead today (31) are Musalkutti, Tudarikkulam, Kudagama, Mediyawa and Mankanai at about 12.10 noon.
