The Mullivaikkal Rememberance Day held in memory of the lives that were lost during the LTTE war which was held in Mullaitivu today (May 18).
The ceremony was attended along the Mullivaikkal coast amidst high police security.
Security was tightened during the event owing to the current situation of the country, security forces said.
Representatives of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) and the civil society took part in the event.
