Major General (Rtd) K B Egodawela has been appointed as President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s Chief-of-Staff, a President's Office spokesman told Times Online.
The newly appointed Chief of Staff had been actively engaged in the military for more than three decades since joining the Army in 1971.
He had once served as the Director of the Land Reclamation Authority.
In addition, Maj. Gen (Rtd) Egodawela had also served as the Chief Executive Officer of Rakna Arakshaka Lanka Ltd from 2007 to 2015.
