The Police Narcotics Bureau Unit at the Katunayake Airport will deploy the use of two robots in its narcotic detection operations, the Police said.
Police Media Spokesperson Ruwan Gunasekara stated that this is the first time in the history of the Sri Lanka Police that robots are being used in the detection of drugs.
The two robots were donated by the Chinese government recently and will be beneficial in the fight against drugs, Police said.
