Facebook representatives in Sri Lanka tomorrow for talks

Representatives of Facebook are expected in the country tomorrow to hold discussions with government officials.

Facebook is sending its representatives to the country following the temporary ban imposed by the government on it and other social media sites and messaging platforms following communal violence in Kandy last week.

The government has raised concerns over the failure of Facebook and other sites to take down posts advocating hate speech and violence. 

It is believe the talks between government officials and Facebook representatives will focus on these issues.
