The circular issued to regulate the dress code for state sector employees will be amended, Prime Minister's office said in a press release today (Jun 8).
Accordingly, the Public Administration Ministry's circular which stated that the saree / osari must be made compulsory for state employees, does not have to be followed, the release read.
The Prime Minister's office further noted that the amended circular will be issued in due course by Public Administration Minister Ranjith Madduma Bandara.
