The Principal of Badulla Tamil Maha Vidyalaya, R. Bhavani who was allegedly forced to kneel before the Uva Province Chief Minister, arrived at the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) a short while ago.
The HRC is currently carrying out an inquiry into the incident where Uva Province Chief Minister Chamara Sampath Dassanayaka allegedly forced the principal to kneel before him.
The HRC had issued notice to seven individuals to appear before the Commission regarding the matter. They are the Uva Province Education Secretary, Provincial Education Director, Zonal Education Director, OIC of the Badulla Police and three employees of the Uva Provincial Council.
