Minister of Water Supply and Drainage Vasudeva Nanayakkara has tested positive for Covid-19, according to family sources.
So far at least three MPs tested positive for the virus. Leader of Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) Rauff Hakeem announced yesterday that he also contracted the virus and requested those who interacted with him during last ten days to undergo self quarantine.
Last week, State Minister Dayasiri Jeyasekera tested positive for the virus and currently undergoing medical care in a hotel turned quarantine center in Hikkaduwa. At least fifteen more MPs have been directed to undergo quarantine process due to the recent infection of virus among Parliamentarians.
