A university student engaging in studies at the University of Peradeniya had fallen to his death today while he was climbing Bambarakanda waterfall with five fellow students.
The deceased was identified as Vikum Vitharana an undergraduate at the Science faculty of the Peradeniya University. The Haldummala Police is carrying out further investigations regarding the incident.
Meteorology Department forecasted that showers will occur at times in Northern, North-central, Eastern and Northwestern provinces and in Matale and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
