Three men were arrested in Unawatuna, Galle for stealing over six million rupees from a hotel safety locker, Police said.
The three suspects have obtained the pin number issued by the hotel to steal money from the locker used by a Russian guest for over a month’s time. One of the suspects is an accountant while the others are a father and son duo.
Police said among the currency taken from the locker are Russian rubles and US dollars. The suspects are currently being questioned and will be produced before courts.
