The Sri Lanka Coast Guard Turtle Conservation Project has released over 62,000 turtle hatchlings in 2025
The Sri Lanka Coast Guard in 2025 has released 62,352 Turtle hatchlings from 14 locations around the country, which are manned by the Coast Guard personnel under the Turtle Conservation Project.
Since the commencement of the Turtle Conservation Project in 2016, the Sri Lankan Coast Guard has released over 191,000 turtles.
