Several major roads in Colombo will be closed on April 4 and 5 as part of a special traffic plan for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official visit to Sri Lanka.
On April 4, the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway and Baseline Road will be closed from 6 PM to 10 PM. Travelers heading to Katunayake International Airport are advised to plan accordingly to avoid delays.
Intermittent road closures will continue on April 5 around key locations, including Galle Face, Independence Square, and the Ape Gama premises in Battaramulla. Motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes.
