The preferential voting results of the Colombo Electoral District have been released. The National People's Power (NPP) won fourteen seats while the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) won four seats.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
