The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) held a protest yesterday (19) against the agreement with India regarding the Trincomalee oil tank farm. The JVP alleges that the agreement will hand over the tanks over to Indian control.
The protesters marched from Technical Junction in Maradana to Fort Railway Station, where they held a rally.
JVP Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake, General Secretary Tilvyn Silva and other senior leaders of the party were in attendance.
