An interim order has been issued by the Court of Appeal preventing the arrest or recording any statements from former Attorney General Dappula de Livera by the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) over his remarks about the Easter Sunday attacks.
This was after the Court considered a petition filed by the former AG over the TID directive to turn up at their office to make a statement.
Mr de Livera was first issued notice to appear at the TID last week, but the former AG submitted through his lawyers reasons as to why he should not be questioned. However they issued another notice to appear last Friday and another one to appear today.
Both the notices were also ignored and the former AG sought court intervention
The TID wanted to record his statement about the controversial remark there was conspiracy behind the Easter Sunday attack
