Fifteen new projects commence at Hambantota International Port

The Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka said today a grand signing and a ribbon cutting ceremony of 15 projects was held yesterday (April 23) at the Hambantota International Port.

The projects represent shipping,logistics,warehousing,duty-free, fuel oil, yachts and construction companies by Sri Lanka, Maldives, China and Singapore are involved.

China’s Merchants Group headed by Miao Jianmin also attended this event. They further stated that they are willing to support Sri Lanka to recover from the current economic crisis.

Fuel prices revised

The price of Lanka Petrol 92 Octane has been reduced by Rs. 5, while the price of Lanka Super Diesel Star Euro 4 has been increased by Rs. 5, from midnight today, October 31, 2025, according to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.
