The electricity tariff revisions approved by the Cabinet will be effective from January 1, Cabinet spokesman Minister Bandula Gunawardena announced.
The Cabinet also decided to call the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) to provide alternative recommendations to the proposed tariff rates before February 15.
