The annual budget of the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) presented for the second time was passed today with a majority of two votes.
The budget proposal was opposed by 56 members while 58 voted in favour.
Three members were absent.
The budget was initially presented last week and defeated by three votes with 60 members opposing it.

A former secretary to the Ministry of Trade , former additional secretary and chief finance official have been arrested over corruption charges , the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery and Corruption said.
