The Pink Auto Shop was recognised as the Most Famous Detailing Centre at the Business World International Awards 2025. Organised by the US-based Business World International Organisation, the award ceremony was held recently at the Mount Lavinia Hotel. The Pink Auto Shop started with a simple idea, focusing solely on auto detailing, separate from mechanical repairs. This approach filled a gap in the local market and introduced a new standard of service. Over time, partnerships with well-known international brands like RUPES Italy, Gtechniq UK, STEK USA, JAX WAX USA, and SGBC China helped boost its reputation among car owners and detailing professionals. In 2019, the company launched the BigFoot Detailing Center, introducing an internationally recognised detailing standard to Sri Lanka for the first time.
The Pink Auto Shop has also been working to create more space for females in the industry. It was the first in the field to actively recruit and train female detailers, helping make automotive detailing a more inclusive profession. Another major milestone is the establishment of The Pink Academy, the first and only Government-accredited detailing academy in Sri Lanka. Registered under the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC), the academy offers NVQ Level 4 Certification and international training through an authorised RUPES Training Centre. In just five years, the company has opened a second branch, now the largest detailing facility in South Asia. Located in a peaceful, green setting, the centre is equipped with modern tools and ample space, designed with the comfort and convenience of customers in mind. The Pink Auto Shop is also known for creating new experiences in the industry. Their Pinkfinity Loyalty Scheme gives customers unlimited access to ongoing services, while events like The Pinkfest motor show, drive-in cinemas, and car parades offer something beyond just vehicle care. Since opening in 2018, the team at The Pink Auto Shop has focused on providing high-quality services, treating customers well, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in automotive care. With a growing following both locally and internationally, the brand has steadily made its mark on the industry.
