Indian Mega Stars to perform here

Indian cinema mega-stars Akshay Kumar and Juhi Chawla will be in Sri Lanka next month for a live concert performance at the Sugathadasa Stadium on December 20. The show organised by the EAP Edirisinghe Group of Companies and Swarnavahini will be in aid of the projects of Lions Clubs International District 306 C.

The organisers promise a spectacular show along the lines of the Salman Khan - Karishma Kapoor event, which was also presented by them. "This show will be even more spectacular than the last," says producer Abu Malik (brother of popular musician and pop star Anu Malik). "We will be bringing down the latest in lasers, intelligent lights, scanners etc. as well as over 50,000 watts of sound."

A little known fact is that Juhi was selected Miss India from a field of over a thousand beauties. This early success was the launching pad for her spectacular career, which has catapulted her to the forefront of the Indian film scene.

Akshay Kumar is rightly known as the Jackie Chan of the Indian Cinema Industry. Where most leading actors in India, just concentrate on singing, and dancing, Akshay has set a new standard for performance, doing all his action scenes himself.
