Students excel in 2025 A/L, secure top island ranks across all streams

In the Physical Science (Maths) section Devendran Thirukkumaran of Kilinochci Maha Vidyalya was placed first in the island-wide rankings while the second and third place best rankings were from Tharusha Gimhana Gamlath of Maliyadeva MV, Kurunegala and Vinura Prasad de Mel of Shri Sumangala Boys’ school Panadura.
For Bio Science the best ranking was from Dilan Sanjana of Royal College Colombo, followed by Krishan Sasindu Nimsara of Horana Thakshila MV and Dharshana Konesh of Shri Shanmuga Hindu Balika Vidyalaya Trincomalee.
The Commerce stream best ranking was from Z Mohamed Farhan of Kattankudy Central College while the second and third best rankings were from Senadhi Dihasna Sumanasekara of Musaeus College Colombo and Dilipa Sandares Karunasena of Bandaranaike Vidyalaya Gampaha.
In the Arts stream the best ranking was Achintha Mihiranga Ratnayake of Wayamba Royal College Kurunegala while the second and third best rankings were Aliya Sheina of Devi Balika Colombo and Methusari Denethya Ranatunga of Musaeus Colombo.
In the Engineering Technology stream the best island-wide ranking was Heshan Anujaya Wanigasuriya of Bandaranayake College Gampaha while the second and third best rankings were Sithija Dulan Bandara of Vijayaba National School Mahawa and Rivin Winsara of C.W.W.Kanangara Vidyalaya.
For the Biosystems Technology stream the island-wide best ranking was Ishani Manodha for Bandaranayaka MMV Weyangoda while the second and third best rankings were from Imasha Kandearachchi of Ratnavali Balika Vidyalaya Gampaha and Jayathma Amandi Wijesesinghe of Ibbagamuwa MMV.
