Aveesha Samash along with Rishan Amarasinghe and Dilpa Maduranga shone with half tons for St. Joseph’s College in their comfortable first innings win over Wesley College in the Inter-School Under-19 cricket encounter concluded at Darley Road yesterday. The trio’s knocks saw St. Joseph’s settle in to reach a formidable 295-6 before declaring, after resuming from their overnight score of 74-0 in reply to Wesley’s total of 161.

Mahanama College, after dominating proceedings on the first day, had to be satisfied with a first innings win over Prince of Wales College at Moratuwa while in the two matches hampered by bad light, Richmond College and Jaffna Central College secured first innings wins.
