A desperate plea is going out from a 35-year-old mother of two girls for any small donation which would help her to get a life-saving bone marrow transplant (BMT) as soon as possible.

Hansi Kanchana living in Opatha, Kotugoda, is suffering from aggressive Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML), a type of blood cancer. Currently under the treatment of Consultant Haemato-Oncologist Dr. Pradeep Siriwardena of Maharagama’s Apeksha Hospital (National Cancer Institute), she has been advised to get an urgent BMT.

As this type of BMT is not available in the state sector, Hansi Kanchana’s only option lies in a private hospital, the cost of which is Rs. 15 million.

Hansi Kanchana’s distraught husband, Ravindra, a lorry driver is seeking donations, however small, from generous people to save her life, while her daughters, aged 8 and 11 years, are hoping their mother would come home soon.

Donations may be sent to: Account No. 100988842647 at the National Savings Bank (NSB), Minuwangoda branch. The Account Name is: K N W H Kanchana.

For more information,
please contact husband
Ravindra on: 0777408963
