Adeesha cracks swashbuckling unbeaten 227
Adeesha Nanayakkara produced a magnificent unbeaten 227 to put United Southern SC firmly in control on the opening day of their SLC Major Club Tier ‘B’ 3-day Cricket encounter against Kandy Customs at Galle.
Batting with authority and composure, Adeesha faced 238 deliveries and struck 20 fours and nine towering sixes as United Southern closed the day on 386-6, after deciding to bat first. He featured in two decisive century partnerships that shaped the innings. Adeesha first added 156 runs for the third wicket with Adithya Siriwardena, who contributed a fluent 61, before forging a 145-run stand for the fourth wicket with Kavindu Ediriweera, who made 42. All matches will continue today.
