‘Doctor’ to rock Taj Samudra on New Year’s Eve

Colombo’s year-end party calendar reaches a high note as the popular band ‘Doctor’ takes centre stage on December 31 for the ‘New Year’s Eve Dance 2025’ at the Taj Samudra Hotel, Colombo. Known for their energetic performances and crowd-pleasing repertoire, Lanthra Perera and his band promise a night of non-stop music and dance as revellers count down to the New Year in grand style.
The celebrations unfold at the hotel’s elegant Grand Marquee, where live music will blend seamlessly with beats spun by DJ Shane, keeping the dance floor alive well into the early hours of 2026. Adding sparkle to the night is a host of interactive attractions including entrance raffles, table draws with exciting prizes, a ‘baila competition’ and the much-anticipated selection of the ‘Best Dance Couple’. The festivities will also see the crowning of the ‘New Year Queen’, bringing a touch of glamour to the evening. Popular host Minnele will comperé the event, guiding guests through a night filled with celebration and surprises.
Complementing the entertainment is a lavish Gala International Dinner Buffet, followed by a Sri Lankan breakfast buffet to welcome the New Year. Guests can enjoy a BYOB experience, with every table of ten receiving beverages, ensuring the celebrations flow freely.
Tickets for the New Year’s Eve Dance 2025 are priced at Rs. 23,000 nett per person, offering a complete night of music, dining and festive indulgence at one of Colombo’s most iconic venues.
