Held on October 10-11, this was the fourth edition, and drew an impressive turnout from schools and the public.
As a leading higher education institute in Sri Lanka with a specialised focus on psychology, CIRP continues to play a key role in advancing mental health awareness and education, and ‘A State of Mind’ was dedicated to exploring the many dimensions of psychology and its relevance in everyday life.

The exhibition showcased a variety of engaging displays across multiple branches of psychology, including clinical, social, forensic and business psychology, and offered a space for learning and initiating dialogue. Each exhibit was thoughtfully curated, with students taking the lead in presenting their topics and providing visitors with explanations that not only informed but also sparked conversation.
School groups were among the attendees, allowing students to explore diverse fields within psychology through interactive demonstrations. Guests commended the students on their initiative and creativity, while emphasising the significance of holding such events at a time when conversations around mental health are crucial.
‘A State of Mind’ stood as a reminder of the power of young voices in shaping the conversation around mental health. For the students of CIRP, it was more than a showcase of knowledge; it was a platform to highlight the growing importance of mental health in Sri Lanka today.
