Palestine Solidarity Committee elects new office bearers
View(s):The Sri Lanka Committee for Solidarity with Palestine (SLCSP) elected veteran journalists Ameen Izzadeen and Mahinda Hattaka as its co-chairmen at the annual general meeting held on Wednesday in Colombo.
The SLCSP also appointed as patrons the Ambassador of Palestine, Ihab M Khalil, along with past chairmen Imthiaz Bakeer Markar and Minister Bimal Rathnayake, the immediate past president.
The other office bearers are as follows:
Vice chairpersons: Hana Ibrahim, Shirley Candappa, Latheef Farook, N M Ameen and Daya Lankapura.
General secretary : M Fawzer Farook
Asst Secretary : Mohamed Fairooze
Treasurer : Hameed Ashraf
Asst treasurer : Sukumar Rockwood
Media secretary : Fiyas Mohamed
Committee members : Lakshman Gunasekara, Mujibur Rahman, Prof Prathap Kalutantri, Janaka Adikari, Anura Gunawardana, M R M Fouzi, U Tharindu, H T Silva, Asma Edris Rahman, Shafraz Shajahan, S Ranjith, Althaf Iqbal and Shafraz Zakariya.
