Sri Lanka will be represented by a strong contingent of 44 players at the Amazing Thailand-Pattaya BWF World Senior Badminton Championship 2025, which will be worked off at the Eastern National Sports Training Centre in Pattaya, Thailand. A Badminton World Federation (BWF) sanctioned tournament, attracting more than 1700 senior shuttlers from 53 nations, which got underway on September 7th, will continue until September 14th, promising great competition among former top badminton stars of the world.

Part of the BWF World Senior Championship 2025, where shuttlers of age groups of 35 years and above are in contention under 10 different categories, Sri Lanka fields a strong team with hopes of bolstering their chances of winning more medals. Running in its 12th edition of the BWF World Senior Championships, Sri Lanka has claimed 10 medals so far, two golds and four each of silver and bronze, since making their presence at the competition.

Seasoned shuttlers in Masters and former National Badminton Championship winners and top performers are among the Sri Lankan unit of 44 players, who will compete in Over-35, Over-40, Over-45, Over-50, Over-55, Over-60, Over-65, Over-70, Over-75 and Over-80 age categories under Men’s and Women’s Singles and Doubles in Men’s, Women’s and Mixed categories.
