New Year religious observances at London Vihara
View(s):The London Buddhist Vihara, established in 1926 by Anagarika Dharmapala held its New Year Day religious observances on Wednesday (January 1st). Acting Sri Lanka High Commissioner in the UK, Manouri Mallikaratchy and the Mission staff attended the ceremonies along with a large group of devotees.
Labour MP for Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush, Andy Slaughter was seen (top) receiving blessings from the Chief Sangha Nayaka of Great Britain and Head Monk of the Vihara, Most Ven Bogoda Seelawimala Thera.
