College of Microbiologists elect office bearers

Dr. Malika Karunaratne, the outgoing president, awarding the president’s medal to the incoming president, Dr. Sujatha Pathirage, and congratulating her on her induction as the President of the Sri Lanka College of Microbiologists.
The Sri Lanka College of Microbiologists has elected the following office bearers for 2024/2025 at the annual general meeting held on October 29. The new office bearers are:
President: Dr. Sujatha Pathirage, President-elect: Dr. Jayanthi Elwitigala, Vice President: Dr. Samanmalee Gunasekara, Immediate Past President: Dr. Malika Karunaratne.
Hon. Secretaries: Dr. Ishara Premathilake and Dr. Indira Fonseka.
Co-Treasurers: Dr. Kishani Dinapala and Dr. Sumudu Surandee.
Co-Editors: Dr. Roshan Jayasuriya and Dr. Nadisha Badanasinghe.
Council members: Dr. Dhammika Vidanagama, Dr. Mahen Kothalawala, Dr. Dhananja Namalie, Dr. Bhagya Piyasiri, Dr. Muditha Abeykoon, Dr. Rohitha Muthugala and Dr. Dilini Nakkawita.
