Rajarata Uni hosts career guidance workshop
View(s):The Rajarata University of Sri Lanka Alumni Association (RUSLAA) sponsored a career guidance workshop and a panel discussion on the theme ‘Unlocking Excellence’ for the university’s undergraduate students recently to coincide with the university’s 28th anniversary.
The event was held in the Auditorium of the Faculty of Management Studies, under the patronage of the Vice Chancellor Prof G A S Ginigaddara.
The session was attended by over 150 students, representatives of the university’s academic and non-academic staff, President of RUSLAA Kamal Ajith Warshawithana, and other executive committee members, the University said.
The workshop and panel discussion included renowned RUSL alumni as resource persons: Dr Harsha Paranavithana, Deputy Director, Economic Research Department, Central Bank of Sri Lanka; Dr Sumith de Silva, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA); Dr Prasad Dharmasena, Director/CEO, Agriculture/Plantation, National Institute of Plantation Management; Dheera Hettiarachchi, Cluster Head, Travel and Tourism, Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management; and Bhagya Senevirathne, Manager, Business Application/Consultant, MAS Linea Intimo.
