Mahith’s third ton helps S. Thomas’
Mahith Perera scored an unbeaten 115, including five boundaries and a six – his third of the season as he played a crucial role in S. Thomas’ securing a first-inning victory over St. Joseph’s in the Under-19 Inter-School cricket encounter concluded at Mt. Lavinia yesterday.
Perera collaborated effectively with Nathan Caldera, contributing to a significant 128-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Caldera added 51 runs to the total, as S. Thomas’ resumed from their overnight score of 37 for 2, ultimately concluding the day at 270 for 7 in response to St. Joseph’s score of 267.
In other matches, St. Sebastian’s Katuneriya and St. Joseph’s Wattala also claimed first innings wins against St. Aloysius Galle and Veluwana MV, respectively.
