Devapathiraja emerge Girls’ U-19 champions

Devapathiraja Maha Vidyalaya, Rathgama emerged champions of the Girl’s Under-19 Division I Limited Over Tournament with a 4-wicket win over defending champions Rathnavali Balika Vidyalaya, Gampaha in the final played at the Thurstan College ground.

Devapathiraja were runners-up last year and this time out they had a successful run in the tournament as they ended with an unbeaten record in the tournament, and in the process taking sweet revenge of their defeat in the final of last year. Rathnavali BV, batting first, was bowled out for 77 and Devapathiraja raced to the target in the 24th over.
