Pakistan recorded a series whitewash against Afghanistan after winning the third and final One Day International by 59 runs at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Saturday. Pakistan warmed up for the upcoming Asia Cup in a perfect manner, after winning the first game by
1 wicket and the second by 142 runs, both played at Sooriyawewa.

Electing to bat first, Pakistan initially struggled during the powerplay, but posted 268-8 with Mohammad Rizwan top scoring with 67 off 79 deliveries, inclusive of six fours and a six.

Chasing a challenging target, Afghanistan were bowled out for 209 runs, despite Mujeeb Ur Rahman’s fighting knock of 64 off 37 balls, which had six each of boundaries and sixes.
