Angelo Mathews and Akila Dhananjaya shone for Colts against Panadura SC in the Major Club Cricket Tournament encounter played at the Colts ground. Mathews, following his 124 and 172 in the first two matches, cracked 164–his third consecutive ton while spinner Akila Dhananjaya bagged his fifth five wicket haul against Panadura SC.

Mathews’ knock which came off 284 balls included 22 boundaries. He shared two valuable partnerships–82 runs for the third wicket with Vinura Dulsara and 96 for the fourth wicket with Vishad Randika which helped Colts make a formidable score of 317 runs.

Later Dhananjaya, who ended with a match bags of 15 and nine wickets in the first two matches, bagged five scalps enabling Colts to bowl out Panadura SC for 196 to take a first inning lead. The matches will continue today.
