Sri Lanka finish third, qualify for World Youth Netball C’ships

Sri Lanka beat Hong Kong 46-22 yesterday in South Korea to finish third in the Asian Youth Netball Championships and earn their qualification for the Youth Netball World Cup.

Though Hong Kong took the early lead 11-10 at the end of the first half, Sri Lanka came back strongly to win the next three quarters 11-06, 13-10 and 12-05 to record a convincing win.

Sri Lanka will join Singapore and Malaysia, who played the championship match, in the Youth Netball World Cup as regional qualifiers.

The World Youth Netball championship will take place in New Zealand in 2025.
