MTV Channel Private Limited has secured the broadcasting right for Sri Lanka for the ‘Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023’. This was announced last week at a press briefing to raise awareness on the tournament. Sirasa TV and TV1 of MTV Channel Private Limited, will bring ball by ball action of all matches to Sri Lanka Cricket Fans.

All matches will air live at 11:30 am on TV1 and Sirasa TV coupled with the latest in broadcast technology. Cricket fans can now tune in to TV1 and Sirasa TV from 18th June to witness the Lions make their way to the top of the Cricket World.

Sri Lanka will play in the Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023 to book their ticket to the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 in India later this year. The tournament will be held in Zimbabwe from June 18 to July 9.

Sri Lanka, Ireland, Nepal, Netherlands, Oman, Scotland, UAE, USA, West Indies and Zimbabwe make up the 10 teams playing in the Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023, and the entire tournament will feature 34 exciting matches.

Sri Lanka will play in Group B in the Cricket World Cup Qualifier and will play against Ireland, Oman, Scotland and the United Arab Emirates.

Group A comprises of Netherlands, Nepal, United States, West Indies and Zimbabwe, while Ireland, Oman, Scotland, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirate will compete from Group B.

The group stage will be completed on June 27, with the top three teams in each group progressing to the Super Six stage. The Super Six stage will then take place from June 29 to July 7, with the top two teams facing off in a CWC Qualifier Final on July 9 as well as progressing to the Cricket World Cup in India later in the year.

Monday 19 June: Sri Lanka v UAE, Queen’s Sports Club

Friday 23 June: Sri Lanka v Oman, Queen’s Sports Club

Sunday 25 June: Sri Lanka v Ireland, Queen’s Sports Club

Tuesday 27 June: Sri Lanka v Scotland, Queen’s Sports Club
