Festival of Flowers to bring creativity to the fore
View(s):The Shi-En Ikebana & Floral Art Society will present a Festival of Flowers under the theme “Floral Innovations”, on May 19 and 20 at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel’s Ivy Room.
There will be over 50 western and Ikebana arrangements by the talented members of the society who will use an array of flowers and foliage and other interesting plant materials to create the displays.
Part proceeds of this year’s show will go to the mentally and physically challenged children and adults at Meth Sevana home in Wellawaya.
The highlight of the exhibition is a demonstration by Harijanto Satiawan, the society’s advisor at the Cinnamon Grand’s Ebony Room on the 19th at 4.30 p.m. Festival of Flowers is on May 19 from 11a.m. to 7 p.m. and on May 20 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Entrance tickets to the exhibition are priced at Rs. 500.
