He said police computer crime division detectives were yet to complete their investigations as they had to examine a large number of electronic devices taken into custody along with the suspects.

The 25 Chinese suspects were released on a surety bail of Rs. 500,000 each by the Kalutara Magistrate on April 14 and the next hearing is on June 14.

One of the suspects, who possessed illegal cigarettes, was fined Rs. 500,000. He paid the fine on Wednesday.
