A valuable 141-run stand for the third wicket between Chamarindu Nethsara and Vishwa Supun propelled St. Servatius College to 246 for the loss of three wickets at stumps on day two in their annual big match against St. Thomas’ College at the Uyanwatta Stadium in Matara.

Vishwa was unbeaten on 89, hitting nine boundaries while his partner scored 79 runs inclusive of eight boundaries. This was in reply to St. Thomas’ first innings score of 241. They added 48 runs to their overnight score. Thisan Dewmith was the pick of the bowlers for his 4 for 49 while Chathum Kulasekera and Kushan Wijeratne shared two wickets each.
