MAJOR ASOKA RAJENDRA WIJETUNGE DELGODA, Adjutant 1st Battalion Sinha Regiment and Adjutant 1st Battalion Gemunu Watch, passed away on Sunday 15th January 2023. Late Husband of Asokamala Tammita Kumarihamy, he was the father of Dr. SinhaRaja Tammita Delgoda and Anurudha Ruwan Delgoda, loving brother of Priya, Felix, Nalin, Chula, Manel, Indrani, Srimani, Swineetha and Premi, lifelong friend of Brigadier Granville Elapata and Major General Prasanna Dahanayake. Caring Brother-in-law to Jinna Dias Desinghe, Chandana Jayasekera, late Leonard Gunawardena, Bertie Wijeratne, Gamini Tammita and Amy, Dharma, Sita, Manel Delgoda. Remains will lie at “The Respect by Jayarathne” from 27th January 10.00 am. Funeral will take place on the afternoon of 28th January. Hailing from an ancient and noble family, he and his brothers served their country with distinction. A born soldier, his life was the Sri Lanka Army. May he attain Nibbana. STM-023871

SENEVIRATNE – PHYLLIS, LOVING WIFE OF LATE ANTON, mother of Ioranjan (Dino) Dias Abeygunawardena, late Siromani, Mackeen and Manique Goonetilleke, mother-in-law of Betty Dias Abeygunawardena, Rifky Mackeen and Meredith (Gerard) Goonetilleke, sister of late Edward and Carl de Alwis and late Jeanne Tarquino, loving grand mother of Natasha, Oleen and loranjan (Dias Abeygunawardena), Dhanya and Althaf (Mackeen) and Asanga, Shevindra and Arini (Talwatte). Passed away peacefully on January 15th 2023 in palm springs, California, a private cremation will take place on January 27th 2023 at Weifells, Wella Road, palm springs, California, a memorial service will be held at temple Isaiah # 332 w, Alejo rd, Palm Springs CA 92262 on January 28th at 11 am followed by a celebration of her life.
