The admission of students to intermediary classes will be suspended from tomorrow (December 5) onwards, an Education Ministry official said recently.

Students to intermediary classes will be admitted only after March 24, once the third term for the 2022 academic year is completed in all schools.

The official said the admission of these students would be done according to the vacancies that arise in these classes. The new Education Ministry circulars too would be taking into consideration in the admission process.

Moreover, students who want to enrol in the A/L classes in another school due to the absence of A/L classes in their current schools, were requested to send their applications to the current school. They had been told not to send applications to the Education Ministry. (DWI)
