The US Embassy in Colombo has announced a scholarship scheme for undergraduate students under the Global Undergraduate Exchange Programme which is administered by a non-profit organisation called “World Learning”.

According to its website (worldlearning.org) this exchange programme is sponsored by the US State department and funding is provided by the US government.

Some primary goals of this programme are: Promoting mutual understanding between people of the US and other countries, exchanging experiences and to enhancing academic knowledge and professional skills.

Students from various countries are encouraged to apply. The Global Undergraduate Exchange Programme has been conducted successfully for many years since 2008. Eligible applicants are encouraged to apply before December 15. -MH
