Applications called for A/L vocational stream, more than 500 schools to offer the subjects

Applications for Grade 12 admissions for 2021 for the vocational stream have been called. The stream will be available in 519 schools, according to the list made available by the Education Ministry. Students will be able to follow National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) level four courses in 26 subjects.

The subjects are: child psychology and care, health and social care, physical education and sports, performing arts, event management, arts and crafts, interior designing, fashion designing, tourism and hospitality management, landscaping, applied horticulture studies, livestock product studies, food processing studies, aquatic resources studies, plantation production studies, construction studies, automobile studies, electrical and electronic studies, textile and apparel studies, metal fabrication studies, aluminium fabrication studies, art and designing, environmental studies, computer hardware and networking and manufacturing.

The deadline for accepting applications is October 26. Further details regarding the submission of applications can be obtained from the Education Ministry website: https://moe.gov.lk.
