Isiwara Dissanayake hit an unbeaten 107 as Royal College beat Wesley College by 65 runs in an Under-19 Inter-School Limited Over cricket match concluded at Reid Avenue yesterday. This was Royal’s fourth successive win.

Isiwara who had eight boundaries and a six in his 147 ball innings involved in three crucial partnerships to propel their score to 254 for the loss of eight wickets at the end of the allotted 50 overs. Isiwara involved in a 93-run stand for the second wicket with Sadeesha Rajapakse (44) and further 73 runs for third wicket with skipper Ahan Wickremasinghe, who made 40. He also shared 51-run stand for the fourth wicket with Kavindu Pathirana as Royal reach a formidable score. Wesley in their run chase were bowled out for 193 with five overs to spare.

Meanwhile, Richmond College also registered their fourth consecutive win when they beat Maliyadeva College by seven wicket in a low scoring game at Galle. Nalaka Jayawardena picked up four for 27 as Maliyadeva were bowled out for 116 inside the 37th over of their innings. Richmond knocked off the target inside 33 overs with seven wickets in hand.
