Vaccinated tourists to undergo two PCR tests

The Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) and ‘One Voice’ association believe that a second PCR test on a fully vaccinated tourist was not practical following the new health regulations issued by the Health Ministry on Thursday.

“We are seeking clarifications because some of the conditions mentioned in the new health regulations for the arrival of tourists to the country who have been vaccinated are not practical,” SLAITO and One Voice stated.

They noted that while one PCR test on arrival is agreed upon it is not practical to stay in one hotel for seven days and then be free to travel only after a second PCR test.

In this respect, they will be writing to the tourism and health authorities seeking clarifications on these new amendments.
